Is there anything you can do to cut down on heat coming through car front windshield while driving?
I’ve never experienced such major heat reflecting off my front dash board as this Summer – it must be my new car and the type of windshield. I can run the A/C but if it’s sunny out, the front dash board gets extremely hot and reflects right onto the driver and passenger. Any suggestions ???
I would recommend tinting the windows.
Tinting the windows will reduce the amount of heat in the car from sunlight, and many people like the look.
You should check with local laws to determine what is allowed. A professional shop that tints windows can advise you on this, and provide some direction on how far you can go, or even want to go. Most front windows are not tinted past a 20-30% tint, but as you move towards the rear of the car, that percentage often increases. You should not have to pay more than about $200 -$300 to have the entire car tinted.
