Is it safe to plug my Belkin USB wall adapter to my Belkini car laptop adapter?
I’m going to the beach and plan to bring my iPod. I need to know if it will be safe to charge my iPod by connecting my belkin USB wall adapter to my belkin lapton car adapter..
Just so there’s no confusion, the car adapter has a slot for a 2 prong which acts like a wall outlet.
I figured it should be possible since it’s like a wall outlet but something tells me not to do it before I know for sure.
Assuming the wall “adaptor” has no ground plug (i.e. just the two prongs) and the car adaptor is putting out current appropriate to a laptop then there is no danger. The only concern might be if the output from the car adaptor is low but if it can charge a laptop battery it can charge an iPod battery. You might as well worry that your car is going to be stolen or explode, don’t worry about the iPod.
